Using Culture to Understand Geometry and Iteration

What are Fractals? A geometric pattern that is repeated at ever smaller scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot be represented by classical geometry. Fractals are used especially in computer modeling of irregular patters and structures in nature. According to Ron Eglash Fractals are characterized by the repetition of similar patterns at ever-diminishing scales. Additionally He has observed the concept of design themes which are found in every culture. Their distinct artistic cultural pattern and diversity within each culture can be seen through specific geometric pattern, however fractal cultural design do not occur everywhere yet have a strong dominance in Africa and African influence Southern India which is very specific.
